It’s all about dad this June!

Designing the home of your dreams.

At Victory Homes, we know that dads and dad-type figures come in all shapes and sizes, and with all sorts of talents and hobbies.

That’s why we custom build our homes to fit every lifestyle – both indoors and out.

What can we say about Dad? Well, there is likely a unique story or nuance to be celebrated for as many different dads there are (and father figures alike!).  Whether it’s the guys who spend every spare minute dreaming about that next big BBQ, the one perpetually planning the next family getaway, or the one who meticulously organizes his socket set by size, we’ve got you covered!

When it comes time to start thinking about your ultimate home design, don’t forget the all-important man cave.

It doesn’t have to be big, or overly expensive, but offering the man of the house a dedicated space for his toys, where he can enjoy family time with just a little less farmhouse and a little more sport, is one of the best ways you can honour dad this year! (think zero throw pillows or essential oils 😉)

Start with Dad’s ultimate man cave experience – gone are the days of open-ceiling basements with low-hanging bare light bulbs and concrete walls. Step aside, carpet-tiled floors and musty, dusty corners. It’s time for Dad to have the cave of his dreams – and have it square in the middle of the 21st century!

At Victory Homes, our man cave ideas are limited only by your imagination! Think pool tables, theatre rooms with that too-large-for-mom TV, a soundproof room for gaming (or that drum set!); perhaps a vintage cigar room and scotch cellar, or a cold room for bottling wine. Whatever dad’s pleasure, we can help you get there (and likely for less than you think!).

A backyard domain, fit for a king!

Is the man in your life a king of backyards?
Is he constantly puttering around, looking for one thing or another to tweak, touch, paint or tackle?

For example…

Some dads live for the moment that last patch of snow melts in the backyard, and it’s cargo shorts, high tops, and project planning galore! For this dad, consider a custom-designed garden/tool shed. Make it an extension of your house and it can be heated with power and a corner for him to sit and relax in between his hard and creative work.

Whatever your dad’s dream, we’re here to bring it to life!

At Victory Homes, we’ll help you pick the best land lot for dad and even help you design a space just for him; a spot for every mower, rake, mulcher, excess lithium battery, and copious amounts of other backyard necessities.

Last year, it was a grilling apron. The year before, a BBQ scraper. How about next year, you really go all out and make sure dad has his dream outdoor kitchen (where he can happily use those accessory gifts from years before)?

At Victory Homes, we LOVE dads who grill up a storm (especially those ones who invite us for dinner)! We support smoky BBQs and outdoor flames, dirty napkins, sticky fingers, music on speakers and friends around a fire.

For that dad, we humbly recommend including in your new home design an outside space fit for royalty – including exterior gas line hookups for all your grilling toys, built-in outdoor kitchens (think bar tops and under-counter refrigerators), and (in an effort to help mom out) and outdoor sink for the inevitable after-fun cleanup with storage for all his grilling tools and smoke tubes!

Talk to your Victory Homes custom home designer about these and other unique ways to make your outdoor living space one dad will LOVE to be master of!

And here we have it – the ultimate dad (and sometimes mom) space – the garage (cue ethereal voices with glowing lights!). Most people don’t realize just how much space a well-organized garage offers a family, and how easy it is to achieve this perfect, yet often-overlooked, extension to your home.

When thinking about your new custom Victory home, consider all of those items which could stay out of your basement, and into your garage, and what needs you have. What has always frustrated you about garages in the past?

Have you had enough room to open your car door to unload groceries? What about bike storage, or an extra set of winter tires?

And when considering general upgrades to your home, even if you’re not going to develop a customized garage just yet, consider the big items that are easier to do while your home is under construction:

  • include a drain in the floor (with help with snow runoff as it melts in the winter);
  • add a man door into the side yard for easy access (think side of the house garbage storage);
  • and rough-in for a future garage heater.

Your new custom-build Victory Home offers fantastic solutions
for all the dads (and dad-like figures) in our lives.
